Lead Employer Service
Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is the Lead Employer for over 13,000 medical professionals. The service supports doctors, dentists and public specialists throughout their training, overseeing all employment and wellbeing matters across eight NHS England regions (North West, East of England, West Midlands, East Midlands, Thames Valley, South West & London, South East, Yorkshire and Humber).
Working alongside host organisations, NHS England educators and partners, the Lead Employer model is focused on improving the working lives of trainees, by helping them to succeed in their chosen career paths and this is carried out through their five primary work areas:
Employment Services, Case Management, Workforce Information, Payroll Services and Health Work and Wellbeing.
