Can you support hospital patients’ Christmas present appeal?

No one wants to be in hospital at any time, but spending Christmas as a patient in hospital away from loved ones can be especially hard.

To help lift the spirits of those who will be in our hospitals over the festive period the MWL NHS Charity is on a mission to make things a little bit better by officially launching this year’s ‘Presents for Patients’ Christmas Campaign.

Victoria Burrows, Head of MWL NHS Charity, said: “Being in hospital over the Christmas period can be extremely difficult so the Charity would like to help bring a festive smile to the face of our patients.

“On Christmas Day across all our hospitals, a thoughtful gift will be handed out to every patient. It is something we have done for a number of years, and it is so lovely to see the reaction of the patients when they receive their gifts.

“We have opened an appeal to help back this initiative and would love to hear from people willing to support us.

“Whether your contribution is big or small, every bit of support makes a difference and helps spread some festive cheer to our patients across our hospital sites.’’
